Main purpose: To administer the timeous and accurate processing of payroll in accordance with financial policy, procedures, and applicable legislation.

Minimum qualification and experience: Diploma or Higher Certificate in Accounting or Payroll or equivalent (NQF 5/6). Three to five (3-5) years experience in SAGE VIP Payroll Administration. Knowledge of Premier HR and ESS will be advantageous.

Key performance areas (Include but not limited to): Payroll and Benefits Administration. Verify all monthly Payroll input received from Human Capital colleagues. Update payroll system with the inputs from Human Capital. Complete all payroll related statutory returns. Verify the monthly leave provision based the leave report extracted from the Payroll system. Statutory Compliance and Administration. Prepare Payroll Reconciliations.

Technical skills: Communication. Interpersonal. Report writing. Planning and organising. Time Management.

Required knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to: Basic knowledge of payroll processes and principles. Basic knowledge of applicable legislation. Basic Knowledge of payroll systems. Basic MS Office proficiency; particularly MS Excel. Attention to detail. Accuracy. Deadline driven. Integrity. Work under pressure. Honesty. Reliable. Confidentiality.
